Terms & Conditions of Hire
1. No booking shall be considered accepted until the Booking Fee and completed Booking Form has been received and reviewed by Brislington Cricket Club and the booking confirmed by the Booking Manager.
2. The person submitting the booking form will be deemed the Hirer and must be over 18 years of age. The Hirer will be personally responsible for the payment of all fees and for compliance with these Terms & Conditions of Hire.
3. Brislington Cricket Club (hereinafter BCC) reserves the right to refuse any application for the use of its facilities.
4. BCC reserves the right to close the club while any function is in progress in the event of an accident, emergency or behaviour rendering this necessary.
5. The Hirer shall be responsible for the cost of making good any damage caused during the function and replacement of furniture or fittings found afterwards to be damaged or missing from any part of the premises.
6. The Hirer shall be responsible for any additional cleaning required as a result of activities during the function.
7. If the booking is cancelled less than two weeks before the date of the function, the Hirer shall be liable for a cancellation charge of 50% of the hire fee, unless the Clubhouse is re-let for the date concerned.
8. BCC may, at its absolute discretion, cancel any bookings if, in BCC's opinion or that of its officers, an event should not go ahead. In the event of a cancellation by BCC, BCC shall refund any prepaid amounts without delay. BCC shall not be liable for any losses the Hirer may incur as a result of such cancellation.
9. The number of persons admitted to any function shall be limited to XX (XX if seated).
10. Unless otherwise agreed, the bar shall close no later than XX:XX hours and all music shall finish at XX:XX.
11. The Hirer shall be responsible for the proper conduct of persons using the Clubhouse and any persons causing annoyance or damage will be requested to leave the premises by the club's representative.
12. Persons under the age of 18 will not be served alcoholic drinks. BCC reserves the right to require ID in the case of doubt.
13. Only drinks purchased from the club bar may be consumed on the premises, unless previously agreed by BCC.
14. The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited and any person found to be using such substances will be ejected from the premises.
15. The Hirer shall ensure that noxious chemicals or any materials or equipment that may cause damage to property or persons are not brought onto the premises.
16. The premises shall be left clean and tidy and as hired at the conclusion of the hire period. This includes the removal of balloons, debris from party poppers, etc. and other decorative items.
17. No electrical fittings or appliances in any part of the premises may be altered, removed or interfered with.
18. No fire/emergency exit doors shall be obstructed or fastened.
19. The premises are non-smoking. Smoking may only take place in designated areas outside the Clubhouse.
20. BCC reserves the right of entry for their representatives to all parts of the premises at all times.
21. BCC reserves the right to cancel any function if any of these Terms & Conditions of Hire are found to have been violated and for reasons beyond BCC's control.
